Farewell To Arthur

One of my favorite magazines, Arthur, shut down publication last week.
It's a real loss to alternative media and those who consume it-- Arthur was consistently worth reading. I even forgive it for covering Joanna Newsom in such depth in its final issue.
The writing was always enthusiastic and the editors allowed contributors to express their individual personalities without streamlining the content into a consistent editorial "voice." Yet the pieces never lapsed into fanzine-eque hackery.
I can't even describe how many great articles have appeared in its pages. For those interested, back issues can still be found here.
