Guess Who My Money’s On?

Ana Marie Cox takes on Katha Pollitt’s recent output.

I wish I had an easy answer about how to navigate between stridency and submission. Then again, I wish Katha Pollitt did too.

Had Dorothy Parker not been cremated, you can bet she’d stretch a skinny wrist from the grave to pat Ana on the head for that one.
Sometimes these things…well, can get a bit out of proportion.
And, as Gawker points out, writing about doing something pathetic makes said pathetic act no less pathetic. It only widens your spectator base.
(and no, I won’t supply you with the gruesome details of my self-inflicted near-heatstroke experience on top of San Bruno Mountain last Saturday. Shut up).
