War Is Peace, Freedom Is Slavery, Ignorance Is Strength, Bush Is President

The bunker-down-hunker-down approach is no longer in effect. Rove’s back!
It looks like Turdblossom finally told Bush to go on the offensive. In White House parlance, this means accusing dissenters of doing exactly what the administration is guilty of doing: distorting, lying, and engaging in doublespeak.
Bush may succeed in rallying the demagogues with a fresh supply of stale talking points, but he’s not going to change anyone’s mind.
2 out of 3 American voters– in poll after poll– say Bush lied about/obfuscated/distorted the motivation behind the decision to go to war.
A half-hour of strident, patronizing Veteran’s Day bluster spewed in the spirit of desperation doesn’t change that.
