Kaua’i June ’07

Thursday 15th: Land in Lihue, reacquaint self with cats, property, hosts.
Friday 16th: Attempt to take hosts to airport but dead battery on rental car gets in the way. Change cars. Hosts make flight in time. Buy $75 worth of groceries for $125. Go home, unpack, get settled, walk around the grounds.
Saturday 16th: Resume bearing-getting. Relax. Read. Sun.
Sunday 17th: As above, rinse and repeat.
Monday 18th: Trip to south side of island and Waimea Canyon. Kalalau lookout, Pihea Trail. Promise self to hike boardwalk on Akalai Swamp. Someday.
Tuesday 19th: Spend morning on phone and online coordinating move to new rental in Woodside first week of June. Cable, internet, phone, movers, etc.
Spend rest of day at Anini Beach.
Wednesday 20th: Spend morning telecommuting and goofing off. Spend afternoon at Limahuli Gardens and Haena Beach.
Thursday: Typing this. Afternoon activity TBD.

Kilauea

kilauea anoleI arrived yesterday. The photo at left was taken on the property around 4pm. Today I take my hosts to the airport. It’s going to be a good day.

I’m Not At My Desk Right Now

Tomorrow at 9:30am I fly to Kaua’i for another two weeks of housesitting.
Life is a series of trade-offs.

And hire someone new to do your graphic design. Honestly, just looking at that hurts, on more than one level.
Next time: a disussion on why traffic pylons are inappropriate vases for the sympathy bouquets that are placed before the city announcement board.
