It Always Has Been About Trig is the top Memeorandum item right now.
I suppose this qualifies as a straw baby argument?
And I’m not sure the use of the phrase “has been” has a deeper significance. Perhaps I’m just reading too much into it.
I’ve changed blogging software. Many thanks to the efficient, friendly and unbelievably speedy support folks at Living Dot hosting. I emailed them at 11 pm last night asking about migrating my blog to WordPress, and less than an hour later my blog looked like this. I’m still kinda stunned how easy (and cheap – like, free) it was.
I’ve re-enabled comments and look forward to not deleting hundreds of spambot entries each week. And your witty, relevant contributions. Of course.

Stay tuned for some more, um, fine tuning.
I don’t add new entries to this thing much anymore; Facebook has claimed more of my time. It’s easier to update and I have a captive audience.
I’m also not satisfied with Movable Type. My blog hosting service tells me my options are limited as to upgrading/design (let alone comments-spam filters) so until I can find an alternative, updates of these pages may not be as frequent as either of us would like. If you’d like to befriend me on Facebook, use the email link on the bottom left margin (“Me Me Me” section, “contact Paul”).
And while I have what’s left of your attention, can I just go out on a limb and say “screw Twitter”? I know I’m old, but goddamn, it’s annoying. I use it as a marketing tool for work (along with MySpace, Facebook, etc), but personally, the whole concept of it just plays into the clueless and self-absorbed narcissism that makes the internet and mobile telephony less fun everyday. I can think of about two or three people worth following on Twitter, and/yet the more I think about it, the less fun they are, too.
…but I’m going to do it anyway.
MSNBC is disturbing.
NBC is dumb.
Have a good holiday!
…oh, and Ariana Huffington is still a dope.
…and Tribe’s seeming inability to maintain RSS feeds without users force-refreshing them after each post (kinda defeating the concept of the RSS feed, yes), I’m finding it difficult to justify bothering even checking the website any longer.
At one time Tribe drove significant traffic to this externally-hosted blog, but the latest three-day outage that ended last night (and the five-day outage in September) is pretty much the dealbreaker for me.
If you’d like to keep an eye on this blog, please bookmark its direct link — http://www.limahuli.net/blog/ — and/or add http://www.limahuli.net/blog/index.xml to your RSS aggregator. it’s apparent Tribe can’t be depended upon.
…panders to the vapid, yup.
But vapid is what CNN does best.
Don’t cuss on the MLP forum or you shall be ejected from the garden.
